About Niharika Madhavan

"Science is magic that works." -Kurt Vonnegut Quotes worded by some of the brightest minds humanity has ever seen are one of the most influencing reasons for my love of science especially life sciences. From a child who grew up listening to stories of science from a mother with a passion for botany being surrounded by inspiring people in the scientific community to a young woman who has taken a leap and dived into the world of science achieving something exceptional in the scientific field has always been a dream of a lifetime for me. I have begun my journey by deciding to pursue B. Tech in Biotechnology. The goal that I am striving to achieve is to contribute to the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine. My interest in helping other people is also something that has been a part of me forever and to achieve that I am a part of a non-profit organization run by the youth to empower fellow youth population called Youth United Council of India. I have climbed the hierarchy and became the International Communications Coordinator within a span of roughly six months after joining the council. I am also a community volunteer for one of the biggest NGOs in India CRY- Child Rights and You. Apart from these I recently delved into the world of fashion and pageantry and won the first pageant I ever participated in. Being an explorative person I look forward to getting brave every day and experiencing new things to learn from them.
