About Niharika Rane

As a Product Design and Development Engineer at the First People Innovation Centre, I work with a multidisciplinary team to create innovative solutions for social and environmental challenges. I use my expertise in CAD and manufacturing processes to design, prototype, and test products that meet the needs and expectations of our clients and stakeholders. I am also pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, where I conduct research on eggshell separation techniques and apply my knowledge of system integration and control systems. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and multiple certifications in software tools and management skills. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills. I have led and contributed to significant projects, such as the Hexapod House Surveillance System and the Quad TORC 2020, increasing project alignment, team productivity, and user retention. I am passionate about learning new technologies and developing products that make a positive impact. I am looking for new opportunities to leverage my technical skills and project management experience in the product design and development field.
