About Niharika Thota

As a committed Master's student in Biomedical and Health Science at Monash University I am deeply driven to make impactful contributions to biomedical research and healthcare. My academic interests gravitate towards the intricate interplay of immunology in disease pathology particularly explored in units covering cardiovascular health neuroscience and infectious diseases. My academic journey has been enriched by experiences across various organizations in diverse countries. In India my undergraduate studies allowed me to major in three distinct biological sciences: biochemistry microbiology and chemistry. Building on this foundation my postgraduate studies at Monash University sharpened critical thinking research design statistical analysis and data interpretation skills while fostering strong interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities. My Master's thesis project delved into the microenvironment of endometriotic peritoneal fluid providing hands-on experience in clinical studies and thus laying a robust groundwork for my career in biomedical science. I am passionate about contributing to fields that merit greater attention. Complementarily an upcoming internship at the National Ageing Research Institute presents an opportunity to utilize my skills as a science communicator. In this role I aim to effectively analyze research and communicate findings to the broader population. Approaching the culmination of my academic journey I am eager to apply my expertise in clinical trial research and medical laboratories. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with like-minded individuals to drive forward biomedical research and foster positive advancements in healthcare.
