About Nijesh Kadakia

As Director at Gaia Smart Cities Private Limited, I lead the Government Consulting and Advisory business, focusing on digital transformation, smart governance, and technology-driven urban infrastructure initiatives across India and abroad. I have been instrumental in the delivery of several Smart City and Safe City projects of national importance — serving as Senior Technical Expert for cities such as Agra and Solapur under the Smart Cities Mission, and contributing to the Safe City initiatives in Noida and Dhanbad. I have played a pivotal role in the design and conceptualization of the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) for Delhi, working closely with Delhi Police to create an integrated, AI-driven urban mobility and enforcement ecosystem for the capital. Expanding internationally, I am also collaborating with the Government of Mauritius on a national-level AI-enabled Adaptive Traffic and Enforcement System, reinforcing our commitment to digital innovation and sustainable urban mobility on a global scale. Previously, I spent over 5 years at Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, managing core network domains including IMS and the Enterprise Application Stack (OSS/BSS), which built my foundation in large-scale ICT infrastructure and enterprise transformation. My core interests include Digital Governance, Smart Infrastructure, Intelligent Transportation Systems, AI-led Urban Innovation, and Policy-driven Technology Enablement — aligning technology strategy with measurable social and economic outcomes.
