About Nik Collett

Hello, welcome to my linkedn. I'm a Graduate from Davenport University in their Bachelor of Business Administration program majoring in Sport Management. I'm also a proud Alumni of the Sports Management & Recreation & Leisure Services programs at Humber College Institute of Technology. I’m very appreciative of being a part of this program as I have learned a lot from the instructors. I've had the opportunity to learn about their unique paths within the industry and has opened up my eyes to what can lie ahead. My education at Humber College has given me hands on work experience. In 2017 & 2018 I participated in two Nunavut service-learning trips where I designed and delivered programming for the youth and adults. In Arviat Nunavut, I was able to build connections in the community with youth, teachers and recreation staff. As team leader I put together weeklong baseball and rugby programs in the local middle-school and high school. We also assisted with a large community feast. This led to a yearlong opportunity with the Jays care foundation, promoting life skills through baseball to First Nations youth and then assisting with programming in Toronto Community Housing. This is where I learned to be flexible, a team player, reliable, and effective communicator. I'm Friendly, Helpful, fast learner, and have good decision-making skills. Fluent in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a reputation for being motivated, dedicated and dependable in all areas of employment.
