About Nikitha Gopal

Nikitha is a passionate policy consultant and project manager. She has a Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics from the University of British Columbia. She also has a certificate in Global Public Affairs from UCLA and has completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Changemakers Program by Metamorphosis. She is currently pursuing a certification in project management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Nikitha has over 5 years of diverse and global work experience leading projects in India, Canada and the United States. Organizations she has worked with include the Department of Canadian Heritage, the City of Cambridge and the City of Yellowknife, the British Council, City of Los Angeles, Southern California HIV/AIDS Policy Research Centre, and ABC Life Literacy. Nikitha applies a systems thinking approach and intersectional lens to all of her work, enabling her to analyze complex issues in a holistic manner. Her skills, knowledge, and experience include: • Policy research and analysis • Program development • Strategic planning • Monitoring and evaluation • Market research and sector mapping • Equity, diversity and inclusion • Data analysis, report writing, proposal development, survey development, and stakeholder engagement. Nikitha is passionate about various social causes and spends several hours every week volunteering. Right now, she supports the administration of PAWS Across the Water- an Ontario-based charity focused on helping dogs in need of a home and a second chance in life.
