Hi, I'm Nikki. I’m an Associate Therapist (AMFT and APCC) passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate anxiety, relationships, and life transitions with curiosity, compassion, and clarity.My path into therapy was shaped by a diverse professional journey. After ten years working as an actor in Los Angeles, I moved to New York City, where I had the opportunity to work alongside Dana James, a Nutritionist and CBT Therapist. That experience, combined with my own transformative work in therapy, inspired me to pursue psychology more deeply. So at 30 years old, I embarked on a new path and went back to school. I went on to graduate summa cum laude from New York University with an interdisciplinary BA in Psychology and Narrative Writing, with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. During my time there, I worked as a research assistant in Tessa West’s Social Psychology Lab and served as a teaching assistant for Dr. Jess Shatkin and Dr. Argelinda Baroni at NYU Langone Medical School.I later expanded my skill set as a recruiter and research coordinator at BSM Consulting, gaining insight into healthcare operations and leadership development. Continually drawn toward therapy and mental health, I once again returned to school. Most recently, I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University (summa cum laude) with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am currently training and finishing my associate hours at the Center for Mental Health Excellence under the supervision of Dr. Veronica Viesca, PhD, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor.At the core of my work is a belief in the power of stories: how they are told, how they shape us, and how therapy can help us rewrite them in alignment with who we are and who we want to be.Outside the therapy room, I enjoy reading, cooking, running, yoga, skiing, and spending time in nature, which reflect my Tahoe roots and my holistic approach to wellbeing.
