About Nikki Lyons

After teaching and coaching for 6 years I decided I needed something more with my career so nursing school it was! I graduated in May of 2011 and began working as an RN on the Inpatient Medical unit at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. I transitioned into a Nurse Educator position in July of 2013. In September of 2015 I accepted a Director of Nursing position at Tuscola Healthcare Center closer to my home/family. In June of 2018 my family will be moving to the Houston, TX area. I plan to continue my nursing career and am excited to be an integral part of a growing company. I have experience with AIDET, Magnet expectations, EPIC, LMS, Clairvia, Quantros, and more. I am currently a Certified Medical Surgical RN and I have a passion for teaching others. I enjoy bedside nursing as well as education. I would love to be part of a nurse education team, especially in the area of teaching new graduate nurses.
