About Nikki Mitchell

I’m proud to lead the Audit & Assurance practice across Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE), responsible for over professionals and 850 partners across 30 countries. My priorities are to ensure we deliver audit quality to the highest standard, to build trust and confidence in the capital markets, serve the public interest and create a diverse and inclusive culture across our business for our partners and people. I graduated from Bristol University in 1988 with a BA in Russian and German. I joined Andersen in 1988 and became Partner in joining Deloitte in 2002. I’ve been privileged to have a very varied career with many interesting leadership roles, including Vice Chairman, Clients & Industries leader for the A&A practice across NSE and UK, Client Leader across NSE and UK and, before that, head of the London Audit practice. I specialise in leading large, global, high profile public company audits and transaction engagements across consumer, retail, manufacturing and support services sectors, with companies who are typically going through significant change. I have significant FTSE 100 lead audit partner experience and set up and led Deloitte’s audit pursuit team following mandatory rotation in 2015. Among my career highlights are: establishing development support for our lead client service partners firm-wide across NSE; and playing a key role in Deloitte’s ‘Women in Leadership’ programme, which enables me to mentor and sponsor the next generation of women leaders. I am passionate about our people, particularly about diversity, inclusion and well-being. How our people feel and are treated is fundamental to their well-being, success and happiness. I am a fellow of the ICAEW. Away from work, I plan holidays with a passion and I relax through theatre, great food and wine with my husband Gary and our 21 year old daughter.
