My job is to be your learning GPS. I curate learning solutions to futureproof individuals and enterprises. I help provide a roadmap about the future of skills based on the future of your business – so far I’m 100% more accurate as compared to a magic 8-ball Q: What are the skills of the future? I have helped countless individuals and enterprises find answers to this question. Sometimes the skills for the future are related to jobs- individuals seeking a career in data would need the technical programming knowledge to land a data scientist role. Sometimes these skills are aimed at preparing for the future- enterprises disrupted by automation would need to equip their workforce with digital skills when pivoting to an omnichannel strategy. I enjoy helping leaders maximise their learning investment and prepare their talents to transform alongside the business. Despite having 10 years of experience as a workforce planner/ manpower developer, I continue to obsess about the changing labour market and remain motivated by the possibility to shape the future of work. Being at the intersection of jobs and skills, I enjoy finding answers about this big question and have attempted to do so by: Taking a policy perspective to uncover opportunities for jobseekers in the financial services sector Piloting a 4-steps skills forecasting methodology with a futures office within the Singapore public service Guiding a publicly listed company on a HR transformation journey that align their people and business strategy Convincing over 300 HR practitioners to pursue professional certification so as to raise the standards of excellence Researching about education and meritocracy when I was pursuing my Masters in Skills and Workforce Development from Cardiff University … combining the above efforts, I am a Skills Transformation Consultant with Coursera responsible for supporting campuses, businesses, and governments within the APAC region.
