About Niklas Wulff

Hey, I'm Niklas. I work at the German Aerospace Center's Department for Energy System Analysis. In my Ph.D. research, I investigate strategies to decarbonize the transportation sector and develop open source research software to help me understand the trade-offs between increasing electric demand and increasing flexibility. I teach mostly but not only physics at the Hessische Schülerakademie in the Hesse summer holidays to kids interested in learning in their summer holidays. I'm moving to Hamburg in the next weeks. On a more personal level I'm interested in power structures and overcoming (formally) hierarchical decision-making through direct democratic representations throughout all political and economic entities, fighting fascistoid and straight-down fascist political notions, electric mobility and hip-hop. I don't like marketing and advertisement (how great would a world be without them?) of all sorts. I believe we need a drastic change in status symbol perception from stuff like cars and cell phones to personal relationships with the producers of goods and services you use.
