Code is like humor. When you have to explain it, it’s bad.” I like to keep things simple and when I'm not working on my next big project, I like to hike, explore, and experience new things. I am a recent computer science graduate with extensive project and medical hardware testing experience. I hold two degrees that inform my skills across software development and hardware analysis—a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and in Biological Systems Engineering. Skills Programming: Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Visual Basic Libraries/Platforms: Django, Express, React, Redux, jQuery, Node.js, Bootstrap Databases: PostreSQL, MySQL, SQL Cloud/Technologies: Heroku, Docker A few of my projects include: SPAC Analysis Website: I developed a website that tracks every SPAC in existence for interested investors—I wrote a scraper for SEC filings and news that allows users to see all information about companies about to IPO or who have already IPO’d. In addition, I built user authentication and created a feature where users can create custom portfolios. I built the backend with Django Rest Framework, Restful API and Python. I used React and Javascript for the frontend. Graphical Web Crawler: I built a web crawler capable of performing a breadth-first and depth-first crawl by following links on a webpage by using D3, JavaScript, Node.js, and Bootstrap. It can show the relationship between websites starting with the first site and all sites linked to it. Each project required me to learn beyond what was taught in the classroom and to self-study the programming languages and frameworks necessary for each project’s successful completion.
