About Nikolas Peter

Throughout my life, I have always preferred to be painting, sculpting, writing, acting, singing, or making movies. After dabbling in every form of self-expression I could for the first 18 years of my existence, I decided I wanted to go to film school. Suddenly, I was accepted to Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, and off I went! While at Chapman, I experienced an extremely comprehensive, hands-on learning experience regarding filmmaking; as a result, I became well versed in the art of screenwriting, directing, cinematography, audio design, production design, editing, film scoring, and everything in between. I also minored in art, where my mind was truly expanded due to courses in painting, drawing, ceramics, video art, and more experimental forms of art such as performance and installation. Graduating from Chapman in 2013, I now had quite a few films, experiences, and a newfound sense of purpose under my belt. I was to use my experiences to help society in any way that I possibly could. The first project I was involved with was editing a documentary on homelessness in LA, which opened my eyes to the world of documentary and the social awareness that accompanies it. Since then, I have been the Arts Coordinator for at-risk children at the Boys and Girls Club, worked on Media Relations for a local magazine, as well as a Marketing Director for a non-profit animal rescue, and Digital Content Coordinator for an online pet care company. For the past two years I have been on the front lines of the live streaming industry at All Mobile Video Digital Media; where I have gained experience in event broadcasting, production management, and cutting-edge video technology.
