About Nikolas Rieder

Hi, I’m Niko – a passionate and curious automation engineering student with a solid foundation in AI, and robotics. Currently, I’m diving deep into the world of GenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs) as a working student at Sopra Steria, where I evaluate multimodal models, develop datasets, and fine-tune open-source models for impactful projects. My journey has taken me through roles in software engineering, TinyML, and automation. With hands-on experience in Python, C/C++, machine learning, and full-stack development, I’ve contributed to projects ranging from RAG prototypes to firmware for microcontrollers. I'm currently expanding my skills in multimodal AI for my master’s thesis. Beyond work and studies, I'm active in web development and continuously exploring new tech.
