About Nikole Barker

I’ve worked in payroll for over 10 years and have grown through several roles to my current position as a Payroll Supervisor. Over that time I’ve had the chance to work on a lot of different parts of payroll operations, from day-to-day processing to system improvements and reporting.A big part of my role today involves working with UKG Ready. I was part of the implementation and now serve as one of the internal resources people go to when they have questions about payroll processes or the system itself. I regularly work with teams across HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Accounting, IT, and Software to troubleshoot issues, improve workflows, and make sure payroll runs smoothly.I tend to approach payroll a bit like a detective. When something looks off, I want to understand why it happened, how to fix it, and how to keep it from happening again. A lot of the work I enjoy most involves digging into payroll issues, improving processes, and finding ways to simplify things or reduce manual work.In addition to supporting payroll operations across the United States, I’ve also helped coordinate payroll support for employees in the Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands, United Kingdom, and Singapore.
