About Nikole Squires
I am passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food, body, and movement. I do so through weight-inclusive, HAES®-aligned health and wellness education, promotion, coaching, and research. I am currently conducting research regarding weight-inclusive healthcare and coaching services, Intuitive Eating, body image, and compulsive exercise. I am interested in conducting future research regarding eating disorders, mindful movement, Health At Every Size®, self-compassion, resiliency, Self-Determination Theory, and positive psychology. I am a Lecturer at Northern Arizona University in the Health Sciences Department. I am also a 3rd year PhD candidate in Northern Arizona University’s Interdisciplinary Health PhD program with emphases in Psychosocial Health and Health Equity. I am excited to further pursue my research and education interests and build my research and teaching skills. As for my other interests, I enjoy traveling, reading, crocheting, hiking, biking, running, going for long walks, listening to music, podcasts, and audiobooks, cooking, playing with my dog, and spending time with friends and family.
