About Nikolina Vikberg

Hej! I’m a social and creative professional seeking opportunities in backend or frontend programming. Currently, I am working as a backend intern specializing in Java, collaborating with a team to develop a library application. We work with the agile approach, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, which of all I greatly appreciate and enjoy working with. I have experience working with Spring Boot and Micronaut frameworks and have developed skills in reactive data handling using Mono and Flux to create mashups with external APIs. I have worked with projects throughout the entire development cycle, from database design to backend logic, ultimately delivering DTOs to the frontend using Android Studio and Kotlin. I studied Java Development at Grit Academy in Malmö, where I gained a foundation in databases, Java, and JavaScript, alongside smaller projects in Kotlin and Dart. I finished projects developed in Spring Boot, React, and Flutter, as well as collaborative group projects utilizing GitHub. Prior to my journey as a developer, I held positions as a Tap Room Manager (beer geek over here), graphic designer, and administrator, among other roles. I can bring a high level of engagement and a strong desire to learn to your company. I’m a curious, inclusive, and an open-minded individual. My ideal company is one that is passionate about its work and values professional growth opportunities for its employees. I am open to backend, frontend and fullstack development roles, so please feel free to reach out if you believe I would be a good fit for your team.
