About Niladri Mitra

During my career, I have the satisfaction of being associated with many a firsts when offshore operations in India started in 1978 and thereafter bringing automation to offshore operations at par with prevailing international practices & standards in ONGC. Subsequently, when field matured, I was again in the thick of the things in the redevelopment exercises of Mumbai High, Heera field & other marginal fields and bringing new technologies, new dimensions of working in the field in the areas of drilling, reservoir pressure management, gas lift & water injections so as to maximize upon production & recovery factor. Also, managed JVs & PSC, comprising of over one third of total workforce of company and also managing the horizontal interactions and interventions with other Directorate & administrative Ministry, to see to it that vision, mission & objective statement of organization, interest of the stakeholders and aspirations of the nation on oil & gas front gets fructified to the best possible extent. As Chief Technical Services (RIL), my accountability lies in giving organization an edge at offshore front through managing the roles and responsibilities of a complete drilling & completion operations in deep water offshore field At this stage of career, through my acquired knowledge, wisdom & world-view, to steer major E&P company for achieving future years of production operations from existing/new & marginal fields as well as putting in place new contemporary sound business practices & paradigms in the area of marketing, joint venture & production sharing contracts. Presently, working with GSPC as COO as over all responsibility for Oil and Gas field, mainly HPHT natural gas Deen Dayal Field of the KG Basin, which needs exotic completion material, hydro fracturing, well fluid contains H2S and CO2, depth of the wells is around 5700 mts. I have also written 3 books like as Fundamental of Floating Production System, Principle of Artificial Lift & One mile in Oil & Gas
