As a long time resident of Los Altos Hills, I have had the privilege of raising my children in the same home, watching them grow through both Palo Alto public schools and later at Woodside Priory for middle and high school. Our family has loved the tranquility of the hills, the unique lifestyle Los Altos Hills offers, and its close proximity to Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Through the years, I’ve navigated our community extensively, driving my kids to activities across neighboring towns—including swimming, tennis, violin, tutoring, Russian math, volleyball, yoga, and art. This experience has given me an intimate knowledge of the area and a deep appreciation for the vibrant lifestyle it offers. Some of my favorite local spots include Evvia for a night out, Mademoiselle Colette for a morning coffee and croissant, and Terun for a lunch meetup. For fitness, I love the small, intense classes at MPX Pilates, and for outdoor relaxation, I enjoy a quick 1.5-mile hike at Arastradero Preserve. When it comes to self-care, No Filter Brazilian MedSpa in San Mateo is a personal favorite. In 2008, during the construction of our home, I stepped in as the general contractor midway through the process. I quickly learned how to find, interview, negotiate with, and manage contractors—overseeing every detail from light switches to paint colors, cabinetry, and finishes. Eleven months later, we moved in, and I walked away with invaluable experience in home construction and design.
