About Nilufar Kayumova

Passionate Advocate for Gender Equality, Sustainable Development and Social Protection Over the past five years, I have been on an extraordinary journey of growth, purpose, and transformation. Starting as a Procurement Assistant and advancing to a Gender and Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst at UNDP, I have had the privilege of contributing to initiatives that drive meaningful change in people’s lives. Navigating Challenges During Unprecedented Times I am honored to have been part of the COVID-19 Rapid Response Project, I supported efforts that helped Uzbekistan navigate one of the most challenging periods in recent history. This experience reinforced my commitment to community resilience and effective solutions during crises. Championing Gender Equality I take immense pride in advocating for gender equality through UNDP’s Public Gender Seal initiative, being a driver in engaging the Ministry of Finance as one of the public entities in Uzbekistan to participate in this transformative programme. Empowering Women Across Uzbekistan I was able to make my contribution in initiating and implementing a project in partnership with Uzum Holding that equipped women across the country with some important financial literacy and e-commerce skills. I am so proud to have been part of this initiative empowering some of the country’s most vulnerable women. This initiative was warmly recognized at the Highest level during a meeting I had the honor to attend alongside UNDP’s Resident Representative in Uzbekistan — a moment that will remain an unforgettable highlight of my career. A Story of Personal Transformation From being a housewife to becoming a passionate advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals and gender equality, my journey reflects the power of determination and the impact of a supportive environment. It is a reminder that growth is always possible with purpose and perseverance. Let’s connect to collaborate, exchange ideas, and drive meaningful change!
