About Nilukshan Krishnaram

Nilukshan is a recent graduate and aspiring scholar with a strong interest in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and UI/UX Design. He holds an honours degree in Information Systems from the University of Colombo School of Computing, and has over 8 years of hands-on experience in visual design and 4 years in user experience design. His first publication on "Skeletal Point Analysis to Determine the Accuracy of Forehand Smash Shots Played by Badminton Players"(DOI: https://doi.org/10.4038/jnsfsr.v52i1.12141) includes his work on sports performance analytics, computer vision, and user experience design, showcasing a versatile skill set that bridges technology and sports. Currently reading for his PhD in Computer Science at UP FAMNIT, Nilukshan was formerly a UI/UX Engineer at Axiata Digital Labs, Associate UI Engineer at Creo360, Intern UI Designer at SCoRe Lab, and a freelance graphic designer. Beyond his professional role, he is a member of the Scout Movement with a history of leading volunteering programs and international representation. He also serves as Vice President of BRIDGE CLUB Sri Lanka, where he represented Sri Lanka as a Peace Ambassador to Japan. Nilukshan's enthusiasm extends to designathons, making his team consistently secure top places and become finalists. As a socially engaging, energetic individual with strong presentation skills, Nilukshan is known for his ability to contribute to projects with a perfectionist ideology. Eager to engage with the academic community, Nilukshan looks forward to feedback and future research collaborations. His diverse background, which includes both academic achievements and active community engagement, positions him as a promising contributor in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and UI/UX Design.
