About Nina Ryan

In 2017, I left my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky to pursue a BFA in Theatre Studies. My time at The Theatre School at DePaul University encouraged my passion for research, theatre history, and performance studies. Outside of TTS, I developed a keen interest in medieval history which led me to Ireland to pursue my MPhil in Medieval Studies: Culture and Civilization at Trinity College Dublin. My unique academic experience with performance art, cultural memory, and history has provided me with invaluable analytical, collaborative, organizational, and project management skills. These skills led me to my current administrative position as Finance Assistant at the American Shakespeare Center. In addition to my administrative role, I love supporting the Education Department by filming productions and leading tours, helping to foster deeper connections with our community. This work allows me to blend my administrative skills with my dedication to education and the arts. I am passionate about enhancing educational opportunities, fostering community engagement, and supporting institutions that inspire learning, creativity, and cultural enrichment.
