About Nina Simons

Curious, creative, and a nerd when it comes to our brains, I am a fourth-year B.Sc. Biology & Psychology student at the University of Victoria who is always searching to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Through my professional work, I have accumulated a diverse set of experiences which have taught me valuable skills in researching, interpersonal communication, project management, and synergistic teamwork. In exercising my assets, I have been able to apply myself in each position and forge strong connections within my community. My interests in learning, innovation, and the application of knowledge has fuelled my passion of science, and I now hone in the focus of my studies to neuroscience. I am currently looking to gain practical experience and make connections in the field of neuroscience, which I am eager to explore! Outside of academics and my professional life, I am a dancer at heart, a globe trotter, and a nature enthusiast! On the weekends you can find me trekking through forests, curled up reading a book, or exploring downtown with my friends, snapping pictures at every corner.
