People don't buy products anymore. They buy brands. Brand Evangelism, Business Storytelling. You've heard the buzzwords, but is your brand strong enough to pull off current marketing strategy trends? Do you customers honestly love you, laugh with you, look forward to getting your communications? Brand image is especially important in "emotional" markets: animals, for instance. The decisions people make for their pets are emotional. Even those of us who understand the science make emotionally based decisions for our own animals. And to reach those emotions, you've got to have a deep, personal, compelling brand voice across all your communications, from tweets to pillar pages. Cutting and pasting from Google isn't enough. A brand voice must now more than ever be authentic, personal, and above all, accurate. Finding a person with hands-on experience in your industry is invaluable. It isn’t enough to write about how to clean poo off a bunny’s behind, or removed a tick from your dog. You’ve got to have done it. As a rescuer, a special needs caregiver, and an animal nutrition store owner, I have seen it all.first hand. I've got the stories and a few scars to prove it.
