About Nini Obrien

With over 10 years of experience as a Life Sciences Laboratory Analyst, I have a proven track record of working in the science industry and dealing with confidential samples and information as well as performing analysis of a wide range of sources from the environmental industry to food and human matrices. For the past four years, I had been attending Athabasca University and completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major on Human Science while working part time as an office administrator for my family’s business. My studies consisted of human genetics, biochemistry, human anatomy, nutrition, physiology, ecology, and molecular biology. I have gained extensive knowledge on DNA and PCR analysis, DNA profiling, chromatography, and spectroscopy. I also have a Biotechnology Technician diploma from Mohawk College. My hands-on experience has helped me build outstanding organizational and record keeping skills. My verbal and written skills are excellent, and I can communicate efficiently with all levels of management. I possess excellent problem solving and decision-making skills along with the ability to detect even the smallest detail.
