About Nipun Malshan

Currently working as a Forensic Analyst at the National Cyber Security Operations Center (NCSOC), operated under Sri Lanka CERT|CC, where I play an active role in national-level cyber defense operations. I began my journey as an Associate SOC Engineer and was recently promoted in recognition of my contributions to incident response and threat analysis. I hold a MSc in IT (Specialized in Cyber Security) and a BSc(Hons) in Computer Security and have pursued additional certifications in cybersecurity, networking, and digital forensics to deepen my technical expertise. With hands-on experience working at Sri Lanka CERT for more that 3 years, in both SOC operations and digital forensics, I’ve built a strong foundation in areas such as intrusion detection, malware analysis, and evidence handling. I am passionate about cybersecurity and committed to strengthening Sri Lanka’s national cyber resilience, while continuously growing my knowledge and skills in the field.
