About Nir Hoffer

A corporate finance professional and registered CPA with managerial experience and strong expertise in origination and execution of M&A and equity transactions, both as an advisor, and from the corporate perspective. As part of Stratasys' Corporate Development Group, I have the opportunity to lead strategic M&A transactions from A-Z, as well as take an holistic view of the Group's material partnerships. In a short period of time I managed to execute two transformational transactions in the 3D printing industry: the merger of MakerBot and Ultimaker, and the acquisition of Covestro's Additive Manufacturing business. Diving into the deepest details of business strategy, deal structuring, ancillary agreements (IP licensing, manufacturing, joint development and distribution agreements), and the orchestration of all of them together, is bringing me joy and satisfaction every morning. With more than 12 years at Rothschild & Co, I was deeply involved in some of the most notable M&A transactions in the Israeli market including the capital restructuring and sale of IBC to Cellcom (2019), acquisition of Avgol Industries by Indorama Ventures (2018), disposal of Solbar Industries to CHS, Inc.(2012), and many others. I was also advising Israeli clients on NASDAQ and LSE IPOs: Mediwound, Macrocure, Matomy and Energean, just to name a few. Gaining my clients' respect and recognition as their trusted advisor is my key driver - being able to be there for them, listening to their needs, sitting on their shoulder and composing a plan that is likely to bring the best outcome, and then see it come to life. This is satisfaction to me! In addition, my CPA qualifications have led me to manage and supervise the operations of Rothschild & Co in Israel including the financial, operational, legal, tax and compliance aspects of the business. What else? Putting the business aside - I'm a keen amateur chess player, making my first steps in the leagues after a break of 21 years! Business, just like chess, is all about strategy, planning, making proper adjustments to your plans in response to changing conditions, and finally implementing them.
