As a Financial Controller at SAICO Insurance, I lead the IFRS-17 implementation and financial reporting projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. With over 15 years of post-qualified experience in the insurance industry, I have developed strong analytical, managerial, and leadership skills that enable me to deliver comprehensive and accurate reports for the executive management and the audit committee. I am passionate about process improvement and automation, and I have successfully supervised the credit control and receivable management functions, enhancing the workflows and efficiency of the finance department. I have also collaborated with tax consultants, IT vendors, and internal departments to implement VAT in the Dubai operations of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd, where I previously worked as an Assistant Manager in Finance and administration. My goal is to leverage my expertise in IFRS-17, project management, and process improvement to contribute to the growth and profitability of the Organization.
