About Nirav Poddar

I am a Chartered Accountant having 12+ years of post-qualification experience and currently lead a team at C B V & Associates LLP, which is engaged in income-tax search (including post search enquiries/investigation) and direct tax related assessments (including block assessment), litigation, compliance and advisory. I represent C B V & Associates LLP, as a core member of the ‘Private Wealth’ business group for ‘Nexia International’, the 9th largest global network of independent accounting and consulting firms in the world. I have made presentations on several topics in the domain of direct tax in various in-house knowledge sharing sessions. I am a member and regular attendee of various knowledge sessions conducted by Nariman Point Study Circle (Mumbai), The Chamber of Tax Consultants, International Fiscal Association and Bombay Chartered Accountant Society. Apart from income tax, I have keen interest in laws pertaining to ‘The Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Act, 2016’ and ‘Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015’. I am passionate about income-tax and cherish the relationships that I build along the way in my professional career, be it with clients, colleagues, my team and Revenue authorities.
