Nirupa Manoharan is a Partner working in the areas of Disputes & Insolvency. Nirupa has particular expertise in (formal and informal, back and front end) corporate insolvency, restructuring and commercial disputes. Nirupa brings a variety of experience from the high level advising she has done on a number of pre-insolvency advisory engagements, receiverships, voluntary administrations, restructurings and liquidations as well advising a range of SMEs and corporate on complex litigation and commercial disputes. Nirupa acts for financiers, directors, suppliers and insolvency practitioners on a range of matters in a range of sectors and industries across Melbourne and Perth. Her experience includes: •Advising on shareholder disputes and professional negligence claims; •Advising SMEs and corporate clients on a complex contractual disputes; Undertaking enforcement and recovery actions on behalf of banks and other creditors; •Advising on securities enforcement and realisation; •Advising directors of distressed companies on their duties and obligations; •Acting for and against insolvency practitioners in large and medium sized insolvencies including instituting and defending voidable transaction claims; and •Assisting in the restructure and/or sale of distressed assets. Nirupa has previously worked in the areas of Restructuring and Insolvency at international law firms in Australia and England, is admitted to practice in Australia and England & Wales and undertook her graduate studies at Oxford University.
