Hello Everyone! I want to share a little about me, and my involvement in the teaching field. I recently completed my Bachelor of Education degree at Lakehead University, Orillia campus. I have a degree of Children's Studies from York University, making me passionate towards learning the needs of the children. I am aspired to motivate children till I know that the light-bulb in their head has went off; its a magical moment knowing that I as teacher was able to make a change. Inspiring a child or adolescent to do something that they feel they are incapable of, is definitely a career worth pursuing; this is how I developed the eagerness to become a teacher. Knowing that you can have a positive change in a child’s life as they set their goals for the future was the reason to want to teach children in a school environment. Through my experience of working with children I have learned that grasping the material that is being taught goes further than the time spent at school; it also requires parent involvement in their child’s learning.
