About Nisha Soni

I am passionate about helping people, strengthen them so they can help themselves. Being a Social Worker I always look at person through Strength based approach and listen them empathically. Work is challenging but at the same time it is rewarding too, At-risk populations need the most help, but have the hardest time getting it. They need someone who can make their voice heard, and who advocates for them and effects change. every Family, every case is different and their family dynamics, their personality, their unique challenges are different so I have to use my critical thinking skill, as well as my community recourses information pool where I can best help them to meet their need-There have been many life experiences that helps me understand using the different lenses to look at the individual problem. Using Trauma informed practices has helped me while doing intervention work and be more compassionate- The Social Work Principle I apply in my practice is Non Judgmental approach and it gives me opportunity to learn about the situation more in depth. There are many role social worker plays but for me advocating for the client is successful way to connect them with the services- I believe in Relationship building, we are all relational creature and we seek for connection and that has more impact on the work that I do with families and individual. I believe in dignity and everyone deserve to be respected and to be able to share what they feel.
