PhD researcher in analytical chemistry proficient in HPLC method development and material characterisation techniques. • Creative and self-motivated individual with leadership abilities and decision-making skills. • I hold a full Irish driving licence and am ready to relocate anywhere in Ireland. As a PhD Research Fellow at Atlantic Technological University, I am part of the EU Horizon 2020-funded PANI Water project, developing synthesis strategies for novel iron-based materials as water purification catalysts. I have experience in synthesising nanomaterials via various protocols, such as hydrothermal, microwave, and sol-gel and characterising them using techniques such as electron microscopy and powder x-ray diffraction. I have also demonstrated the potential of my synthesised materials for photo-Fenton degradation of contaminants of emerging concerns, such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products. I have hands-on experience in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in analysing treated water samples. With a background in chemistry from IISER Bhopal, where I obtained my integrated bachelor's and master's degrees, I am passionate about exploring the interface of Chemistry and Biology, and applying my skills and knowledge to address environmental challenges. I have completed a course on losing my fear of asking questions at work on LinkedIn. Additionally, I have been involved in teaching and student representation activities, such as being a course instructor for the Adventures in Chemistry course at Dublin City University, and being an elected secretary of the student postgraduate committee of Atlantic Technological University, Sligo Campus. These experiences have enabled me to develop my communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, and to support and empower my fellow students and learners.
