Hi! I am Nithin, a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in developing AI applications by leveraging Python, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning frameworks. Three years ago, I moved to Melbourne to pursue my Masters in Artificial Intelligence. I paid my way through university, and was selected as one of the top 5 students to be awarded with a research scholarship worth $6k by Monash University. As part of my research, I investigated the application of deep learning neural networks in medical images, by exploring various optimisation methodologies, variations in gradient descent algorithms, 3D image analysis, and convolutional neural networks. I have also led the development of various applications including an inventory management solution and AI-based learning interface by partnering with cross functional teams which included business analysts, front end specialists, and testers. My most notable accomplishment includes pitching an idea to a Melbourne based restaurant to replace their current inventory management system with a Streamlit-based web application. By establishing a central database, and integrating Google sheets and Google drive API’s, I reduced monthly operational costs associated with investory to less than $10 per month.
