As a Quality Improvement Specialist I work with healthcare organizations to achieve their strategic goals by gathering data from clinical and operational sources using QI methods to optimize healthcare delivery and present evidence-based recommendations to decision makers. Currently my role has focused on projects in palliative home care and unhoused mental health sub-sectors. When I complete my technical analysis I ensure reports are easy to understand for non-clinicians and all stakeholders involved in any future changes. I always make sure that marginalized voices are included in order to emphasize healthcare for all. My support is informed from a broad range of data sets from the systematic reviews to grey literature and of course my own clinical knowledge. Additionally I have supported teams as manager and make it a priority that front-line managers have the capacity to support Recently I have committed to clinical work as a RN due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
