About Nitin Agrawal
I am a creative problem solver with international experience. I hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Currently, utilizing metagenomic, microbiomics, and GWAS techniques to study the environmental and human genetic factors (from saliva samples) influencing diseases such as Obesity, Diabetes, and Oral Cavities (caries/periodontitis). Have also co-founded an innovation consultancy: ExtraVerd Oy focusing on the environmental sector; utilizing my experience from the Foodtech and Biotech sectors and working on several projects in the fields of sustainable food production-fishing, and -meat production! Worked on protein-ligand binding during my doctoral studies, as a preceding step for drug designing. Creating artificial proteins with different binding sites in-silico, and later in-vitro, that were capable of binding small molecules and various mutated ligands. Interested in genetics, bioinformatics, circular economy concepts, food waste management, sustainable solutions. Motto: Live and Learn!
