About Nitin Gopinath

My name is Nitin Gopinath and I am a Masters student at the University of Cincinnati in Materials Science and Engineering. I am also a graduate of The Ohio State University. I majored in materials science and engineering with a focus in biomaterials and polymers. This originally started as an interest I had in high school when I took an elective materials course for fun, but ended up learning a lot from it. It was the only class where I felt I was learning more practical things rather than normal classroom subject matter. I have done research in electronic materials, specifically using nanowires to detect changes in gas composition, like in a smoke or CO detector. This however cam from another interest I had, which was building pcs. Of course that comes with gaming, which is something I like do in my freetime, particularly Dark Souls games. I have worked in the IT department at OSU where I learned how to interact with users (including some difficult ones) and help solve their technical issues and keep the university's data safe. I decided to study by myself and get certified in AWS as result. I am always looking for new opportunities and hope to learn a lot. Thank you
