A) Engineering • Presently working in the position of A/Head of Engineering in Technical Division of Qatar Fertiliser company. Handling a multidisciplinary team for carrying out Engineering for all plants modification projects and major initiatives for energy improvement as well as reduction of flare emissions. The multimillion dollar Portfolio includes major initiatives under QAFCO Technical Road Map. A part of that is the development of Utilities infrastricture foreseen for such major works. Efficiency improvement includes study and implementation of refurbishment of Turbines and Compressors utilising new technology as well as replacement of old inefficient turbines with new Variable speed drives rebalancing the steam in the plant. • Earlier worked as Senior Electrical Project Engineer handling Plant Modification Projects under Engineering department such as replacement of old gas turbine with VSD driven motor, replacement of one to one motors etc. B) Operation and Maintenance • Worked as a Shutdown Engineer, coordinating Ammonia, Urea, Utilities, Cogeneration and UFC plants' planned and unforeseen shutdowns. Manage the complete shutdowns right from Budget preparation to execution and followup of pending action is part of my profile. • Handled Lead electrical engineer in maintenance support team often as Acting Electrical Head of Section; leading a team of Engineers and technician for maintaining two Ammonia, Urea, Formaldehyde units with power generation and distribution network • Electrical Maintenance of two trains of fertiliser plant (Ammonia & Urea) worked as Staff Engineer. • Technical support to Electrical Head of Section for Fertiliser plant Maintenance and Captive power plant O&M. • Operation of Offsites and Utilities (Captive power plant and other utilities), in fertiliser industry. C) Projects • Part of the study of 3200 TPD Ammonia plant project, presently working as Lead Electrical Engineer in the main study phase. • Carried our FEED study for Revamp of two 900 TPD Ammonia plants • Engineering, construction and commissioning Engineering (Electrical) for two Fertilisers; Ammonia & Urea plants with captive power plant (combined cycle) Generation and distribution. • Construction & Commissioning of 500MW Combined Cycle Power Plant as Deputy Electrical Manager (Project).
