About Nitish Kumar

My journey at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) laid the foundation for a deep and evolving engagement with the intersection of neuroscience and technology. Having completed my Master's in Neurotechnology, I now serve as an Assistant Professor in Neuroscience and Technology, where I contribute to both academic training and translational research. My focus lies in exploring brain function, stroke rehabilitation, and neurotherapeutics using advanced tools such as EEG, TMS, tDCS, EMG, and Transcranial Doppler. I integrate my passion for neurodiagnostics with emerging technologies like Python and AI, applying them in both research and practical scenarios. Certified in multiple technical domains, I continually strive to bridge the gap between clinical neuroscience and accessible technological innovation, especially in low-resource settings. With competencies in creating technical reports, conducting literature reviews, and sample collection, our research endeavors aim to unveil novel insights into neurological conditions. Our commitment is to leverage these insights for advanced healthcare solutions, drawing inspiration from the cognitive awakening heritage of my hometown, Gaya (Bihar). The goal is to emerge from JIPMER as a catalyst for change in the realm of neuroscience and beyond. I am driven by a commitment to develop scalable, impactful neurotechnological solutions and to train the next generation of neuroscientists through education and collaborative learning.
