About Nitya Mital

I’ve spent over six years exploring how design, craft, and storytelling come together to shape the way people see a brand. Starting out as a textile designer, I fell in love with the process of building something meaningful from the ground up—whether that’s reviving an ancient embroidery technique at Kumuda, creating campaigns that feel alive with culture and character, or leading creative projects at Vercelli Rishabworld for luxury and direct‑to‑consumer brands, balancing creative vision with a clear sense of what resonates in the real world. What drives me is the challenge of making ideas tangible—turning research, intuition, and a spark of inspiration into visuals, products, and narratives people actually connect with. My time at Polimoda, and projects like the Indian Biennale 2023 in London, taught me how to merge global aesthetics with an Indian design language in a way that feels fresh. Whether I’m directing a photoshoot, shaping a brand’s identity, or collaborating with teams at Vercelli Rishabworld, I’m always looking for new ways to tell stories that stay with people.
