About Niv Granite

After travelling the world, from South America to the Far East, and living in countries like Portugal, Italy, Canada and Israel along the way, I have come to settle in bonnie old Scotland with my Scottish wife and my two half Israeli - half Scottish sons. I have always been passionate about digital art and after completing a Practical Engineer in animation and a Bachelors degree at Caledonian University, paired with my experience working at Focus Games Ltd and work placement at BBC Scotland, I am confident that I have the knowledge and skills required to produce high quality designs and animations in any professional environment. The ability to communicate a story with a computer and the knowledge required to yield the program to your needs is the reason I create visually stimulating art and animation. In addition to animation and graphic design, I also build websites (HTML5 and some CSS) using Adobe Dreamweaver. If you like what you see on then don't hesitate to get in touch. I am proficient in the following- 3D Modeling, Rigging, Shading, Texturing and Animating with Autodesk Maya- Motion Design and compositing with After Effects and Nuke- Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign- Rendering with Vray, Mental Ray and Arnold- Website creation with Adobe Dreamweaver- Music and sound effects with Adobe Audition- Editing with Premier and Avid. Content Management Software- Basecamp, Trello, Workstack, ProofHQ and Sharepoint. In my spare time I like to play the piano, rock climb, hill walk, travel and, above all, spend time with my wife and baby boy.
