Research Tech at CancerCare Manitoba | Investigating novel therapeutic avenues for Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)- Dr. Joel Pearson's lab With SCLC representing a significant health concern in Canada and globally, my work is dedicated to exploring innovative therapeutic approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes. In our pursuit to combat SCLC, our research focuses on understanding the role of the TEAD repressive complex—a pivotal player in sustaining the epigenetic state of SCLC. Looking ahead, our research aims to delve deeper into the synergistic potential between drugs and standard-of-care chemotherapy, such as cisplatin/etoposide. By expanding our studies to in vivo models, we strive to translate our findings into tangible clinical benefits, ultimately enhancing the efficacy of therapies for SCLC patients.
