Nkechi Obi is a seasoned Operations Manager, Project Management Expert, Communications and Brand Enthusiast, and accomplished Human Resource Professional with a track record of delivering strategic and operational excellence across sectors and continents. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in International Human Resource Management from the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. Nkechi played a pivotal role in the foundational operations of the Lagos Commodities and Futures Exchange (LCFE), Nigeria’s first SEC-licensed Exchange to list and trade physical gold assets. She contributed extensively to the development of critical frameworks including rules formulation, contract structuring, trading systems, and broker-dealer regulations that underpin LCFE’s current operations. Her contributions were instrumental in launching key products such as the Eko Gold Coin—the first physical gold asset traded on a Nigerian exchange—and Eko Rice Contracts, which support Nigeria’s rice value chain. Rising through the ranks, Nkechi currently serves as the Acting Head of Operations at LCFE. In this role, she oversees core units including Asset Classes (Agriculture, Oil & Gas, Currencies, and Solid Minerals), Trading & Settlement, Capacity Building, and Communications, among others. Nkechi also serves as Director of Projects at Ninos Global Technology (Nigeria & UK). In this capacity, she has led multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute over 100 technology-driven projects across the UK, Nigeria, and other regions.
