Background

About Noa Kanter

My educational background consists of a graduate degree in clinical child-psychology (M.A.) from Bar-Ilan University as well as a B.A degree in psychology and developmental aspects in Education from Tel-Aviv University. During my studies and after my graduation I have practiced various therapeutic interventions in public health care clinics, and worked as a psychologist for elementary schools and kindergartens, in the cities of Yaffo and Holon. In addition, I have worked in the Israeli Association for Children at Risk (ACR), evaluating children and adolescents diagnosed with Autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as leading social skills groups for them and their parents. My education has combined classical psychotherapy approaches (psychodynamic play therapy) as well as developmental and evidence based research and treatment methods (CBT and Psycho-Education). Combining scientific knowledge from those fields and taking into consideration every child's unique ecosystem (cultural aspects, familial aspects, life events, educational system, medical history, etc.) can help caregivers understand better their children’s behavior and emotions.
