About Noah Bussell

I am a planner, GIS practitioner, and specialist in community and economic development that has worked with communities across Michigan and the Midwest to address numerous community, economic, and environmental challenges. I aim to approach growth and prosperity by leveraging informed and data-driven decision making, community engagement, and diligent attention to detail to ensure opportunity for all is as comprehensive and efficacious as possible at the local, county, and regional levels. I focus on plans and tools that are utilitarian, educational, and actionable. For example, this focus has included leading the development of the Southeast Michigan Broadband Navigator, which is identified as a resource in the State of Michigan's 2023 Digital Equity Plan. I am a 2024 Master of Urban Planning graduate of Wayne State University, with a concentration in Urban Economic Development, and a 2020 graduate of Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning and a minor in Geographic Information Science. I have applied my skills in a variety of fields, including land use and transportation planning, renewable energy permitting, zoning administration, GIS analysis, cartography, and public engagement. I have experience in GIS, database management, cartography, and data analysis, as well as experience with project management, public speaking, and process development. I am improvement and efficiency-oriented, and am always looking to focus on utilizing skills and technology to address the needs of communities for the present and the future.
