About Noah Daugherty

My passion for science motivated me to the University of Toledo as soon as I finished high school. I graduated spring of 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physics and finished with a 3.0 GPA. While at the University, I received first hand experience in multiple types of laboratories. I was lucky enough to work with the teams running the Toledo Heavy-Ion Accelerator and researching photovoltaics applications and techniques. While my part primarily focused on inputting data into storage for later analysis, being present with scientists working with these technologies for the first time was an amazing experience. A diverse work experience has prepared me with the knowledge and skills to work well with any group of people I am put beside. My time as a production associate at Eaton Corporation exposed me to manufacturing techniques and detailed thinking. I was able to express my scientific knowledge at Imagination Station, the Toledo science center, interacting with guests at specific exhibits and performing demonstrations as an Extreme Scientist. More recent positions I have held during the COVID-19 pandemic have been mostly customer facing, giving me experience interacting with new people every day and building relationships with regulars and management.
