About Noah Dohm

I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a DBT trained therapist, who is highly passionate about providing therapy to the best of my ability. I have been in the field full time for four years, two of which at a drug and alcohol detox and later as a regional crisis team member. This allowed me to hone skills working with people acutely battling substance use and mental health issues. It was here I was able to accrue my supervised hours toward my License in Addiction Counseling, a License I would finalize at my next and current place of employment, WellPower. I loved both the detox and crisis work, helping people stabilize and get back on the recovery path, but always yearned to work with people along that path toward their long term goals. That brought me to WellPower and the last two years of my career as an outpatient psychotherapist. I really feel I’m where I need to be. Now I’ve been able to hone new skills, while also still applying skills from before when needed like suicide and risk assessment and intervention, knowledge of substance abuse, withdrawal, and treatment pathways. One of my favorite things about WellPower is becoming part of the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team. This training taught me invaluable knowledge and wisdom that has proven highly applicable and effective. I love what I do and I love learning, and I think my curiosity and interest in other people, the world around me, and the meaning of life coupled with my desire to help people, make me the therapist I am today, always striving to improve and help people the best I can.
