About Noah Farrell

I am currently working as a Data Engineer for Principal Global Investors, helping to lead our organizations efforts in enabling access to shared enterprise data and master data management. Working with technologies like SQL Server, Markit EDM/Cadis, and.NET Framework, I help build and maintain pipelines and shared data repositories. I have experience in over a dozen programming languages and a diverse array of software applications for application development, data management, data visualization, and web development. I have work experience with things like MuleSoft's Anypoint Studio, C#, SQL, XML, SSRS, and more; I have course experience with software and languages ranging from Power BI and Tableau to SAS, R, Java, and Python. I have graphic design course experience, working with multiple Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and web development course experience including a currently-active site designed with a small team for a small business here in Iowa. Additionally, I have extensive educational experience with statistical modeling and analysis - specifically, I worked with machine learning and Bayesian statistical models. I have learned to create, interpret, and effectively communicate about models both by hand and with a wide variety of technical solutions, including R, SAS, Excel, and Python. I hope to be able to apply my skills with data, analysis, and coding to drive business decisions and capitalize on data opportunities, as we take our first great steps into a cloud-ready, data-driven future.
