About Noah Karn

I joined the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania (IFP) in 2018. The Federation is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the insurance industry, with a diverse membership of foreign and domestic companies. As Vice President of the organization, I am responsible for representing the interests of IFP member companies before all branches of Pennsylvania government. In this role, I engage lawmakers, legislative staff, regulators, and outside stakeholders to advance the insurance industry’s public policy agenda. I also spearhead the industry’s political advocacy efforts through my work with the Pennsylvania Insurance Political Action Committee (PIPAC). Before moving to the private sector, I served as a Chief of Staff in the Pennsylvania Senate. I have also served as a top aide to the Speaker of the House and as Executive Director of the House Labor & Industry Committee. I am a 2011 graduate of Penn State University (BA, Political Science) and a 2015 graduate of Northwestern University (MA, Public Policy & Administration). I have completed continuing education coursework through Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, and have received professional accreditations in the insurance field. In recent years, my work has been recognized in City and State Magazine as part of its "Government Relations Power 100","Who's Who in Government Relations", and Pennsylvania “40 Under 40” Lists. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and competitive golf.
