About Noah Katz

Noah Katz Assoc CIPD is a researcher, facilitator and published writer committed to fostering genuine organisational diversity. Currently working at the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Noah supports Jewish workplace inclusion and previously spent three years as a UJS Deputy (representative), serving on the Executive as the inaugural Chair of the Under 35 Assembly. Noah’s commitment to student representation extends to their seat on the National Union of Students (UK) Board, where they were elected on a platform of having a mainstream Jewish voice in the room following a damning report into institutional antisemitism. Less than two weeks before 7th October 2023, Noah was elected as the youngest Chairperson of a Jewish community in the world. They now serve as Vice Chair of Lancaster & Lakes Jewish Community and have just joined the Advisory Council of Jewish on Campus, selected for their expertise within the Jewish Student Movement. With an academic background focusing on Jewish staff belonging and a track record of pioneering innovative youth representation, Noah is also deeply engaged in interfaith work, believing in building bridges wherever possible. As Vice President (Education) of Lancaster University Students’ Union, Noah wrote the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework Student Submission, leading to a Gold ranking which directly contributed to Lancaster’s status as a top 10 UK University. During their postgraduate studies, Noah worked for Lancaster University Management School as an Academic Writing Mentor, helping students unlock their academic potential. They hold an MSc in Human Resource Management (CIPD Level 7 Accreditation) from Lancaster University Management School and a BA (Hons) in Cultural Studies (with a focus on the Jewish Diaspora) from Lancaster University. Noah’s contributions to thought leadership include widely published articles and a book chapter (It’s Time for the Grown-Ups to Step Aside, Wicked Son Press, 2024) on the generational gap found in attitudes within Jewish communities. Noah’s academic research looks at the locus of Jews in the non-Jewish world, be that through the lens of witchcraft in their undergraduate dissertation or the experience of Jewish staff in UK Universities for their MSc thesis. Noah is also an award-winning media host with strong experience in Jewish advocacy who is passionate about diverse involvement in political spaces. As a member of the World Jewish Congress Jewish Diplomatic Corps Academy, Noah promotes dialogue on minority rights and community engagement on an international platform.
